The Score • Zenith Stec

The Score is a proof of concept of a story called Nosedive. Nosedive is a dingy, neon-soaked crimewave film. It’s about the raw desperation and survival that kicks in when a man’s life is ripped away from him. We follow Oscar and Serena, a young couple who were about to leave an eroding city defined by totalitarianism, corruption and a police like state. On a fateful evening drive on the coasts of the city, Oscar was about to propose to his longtime girlfriend Serena but both their lives are pushed over the edge by a car crash that left Oscar severely injured and Serena in critical condition. Now fired from his injuries and out of work, and out of options he turns to a life of crime to scrape by to save himself and his would-be fiancé.

I’m a local filmmaker and artist from the Rogue Valley, currently finishing my senior year at Southern Oregon University. Since I was a kid, I’ve always known that film was my calling, and that drive has followed me all the way through my time as a student, where I’ve gratefully received accolades of awards in my journey through learning cinema. As I head towards graduation, my goal is to step fully into the industry as a filmmaker, actor, and producer, taking everything I’ve learned and putting it into stories that will be enriched and meaningful, especially In a time that feels increasingly defined by uncertainty and a sense of artificialness.
