FCBD®Style Belly Dance

FCBD®Style Belly Dance celebrates the strength and beauty of working together as a group. Formatted steps, cues, eye-contact, and the familiarity of musical phrasing allow dancers to stitch together an improvisational tapestry each time they dance. Sunstone Dance Company utilizes props such as swords, full circle skirts and finger cymbals to create a colorful and dynamic performance. 

Sunstone Dance Company is led by Co-directors Kristi Whetten and Heather Adams. Both Kristi and Heather attained their FCBD® Belly Dance Teacher Training certification in 2019 and have been teaching and dancing together ever since. The Sunstone performance troupe is made up of 10+ local dancers from around the Rogue Valley. Sunstone was chosen as the troupe name to reflect the joy, courage and optimism felt when dancing together as a unified group.
